Foundation
The Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design was established under the Rectorate of Kayseri University with the Law on the Amendment of the Higher Education Law and Some Laws and Decrees, published in the Official Gazette dated May 18, 2018 and numbered 30425. The proposal of the Presidency of Kayseri University to open departments and departments within our university was examined at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 07.04.2021 and in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of the Law No. Along with this, the Department of Computer Engineering was opened.

Post Graduation Opportunities
Students who graduated from the software engineering department; As entrepreneurs, they can develop many software from scratch on topics such as games, health and security, as well as support the support and development process of existing software, and work in different sectors so that the daily work of people with expertise in other fields is supported by special software. After all, graduates can work in software and research and development companies (Technoparks), especially in space and defense technologies, in banks that focus on computer and software technologies, health institutions, private and public information processing centers, and various institutions and organizations such as universities. In addition, these students can work as systems analyst, system engineer, design engineer, web design and program specialist, IT specialist, application programmer test engineer, software engineer, software architect, data analyst or data management specialist. An enterprising software engineer can start his own business life by starting his/her own company. In addition, the student who successfully completes the undergraduate period has the opportunity to apply for graduate and doctoral education in appropriate fields in academic institutions and to pursue an academic career.
Graduate Employment Profile
Software Engineering graduates can work in various institutions and organizations such as research and development companies especially in space and defence technologies (Technoparks) as well as banks, health institutions, private and public IT centres and universities that focus on computer and software technologies. Students who graduate from the Software Engineering department can develop software in the security, health and game fields as entrepreneurs, provide support to existing software development and work in different sectors to provide custom software support to the daily lives of individuals in different expertise fields. Additionally, these students can work as a system analyst, system engineer, design engineer, web design and program specialist, project manager, IT specialist, application programmer, test engineer, software engineer, software architect, data analyst or data management specialist. Entrepreneur software engineers can establish their own businesses. Additionally, students who successfully complete their undergraduate education can apply to master’s and doctorate programs in academic institutions and pursue an academic career.
Higher Degree Program Transfer
Candidates who successfully complete their undergraduate degree and have sufficient scores from the ALES examination and English language tests can apply for master’s and doctorate programs in their own department or related departments.
